Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this paper is to study the effectiveness of applying distance learning technologies to form communicative skills of younger learners while teaching them English. The relevance of this work is determined by shortage of information in this particular sphere. Dur-
ing the research, English teachers aged 20–50 with national and international qualification certificates and work experience of at least 10 years were asked to answer the questions about probable difficulties in teaching younger learners. Also, they could write their own comments on
arisen problems. The analysis of the research results let us conclude that distant English teaching of younger learners isn’t effective enough as it makes it complicated to form communicative skills. However, usage of distance learning technologies at an ordinary lesson can be great as-
sistance.
